My daily Bread ...

The book of Proverbs is filled with observations of how men act without God and also how they act when they allow God to rule their lives. Verse 6 tells us that most men will acclaim their own good deeds before others. Men want others to like them so they generally present themselves to others in the best light.

None of us like to mention our failures. However, when we come to God the first thing we must do to find salvation is to confess our failures and sins to God so that He can help us to overcome them. We must humble ourselves and in doing so it allows the Holy Spirit to come and lift us up from the ruin we find ourselves in.

    James 4:8-10:
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

The Bible tells us that when we confess our sins and repent for hurting God and others, He will then forgive us and lift us up from our depression and sorrow and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    1 John 1:9:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
When we come to him we will not want to broadcast our good deeds, but rather make known the One who enables us to do themIt is through the power of God that we are able to do good. Even Jesus, himself said there was no good thing in Him, but His goodness came from the Father who sent Him.

The book of Proverbs is full of pearls of wisdom. Every word talks about the facts of life which were relevant when they were written n even today. Thank you blessed God for givin us Your Word so that we can know n believe ....

I need self catharsis ..... again. So I've decided to start bloggin again ...

My daily Bread ...

"Sanctify them through thy truth." John 17:17

"Sanctify them," said Jesus, "through thy truth: thy word is truth." The passages of Scripture which prove that the instrument of our sanctification is the Word of God are very many. The Spirit of God brings to our minds the precepts and doctrines of truth, and applies them with power. These are heard in the ear, and being received in the heart, they work in us to will and to do of God's good pleasure. The truth is the sanctifier, and if we do not hear or read the truth, we shall not grow in sanctification. We only progress in sound living as we progress in sound understanding. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Do not say of any error, "It is a mere matter of opinion." No man indulges an error of judgment, without sooner or later tolerating an error in practice. Hold fast the truth, for by so holding the truth shall you be sanctified by the Spirit of God.

The Word of God has always been my strength when I feel crushed, a spiritual compass when I'm lost in the technicalities of this materialistic world, wise counsel n a source of unexplained peace & joy ....

I'd like to share how the Word has spoken to me personally n strengthened my faith ... God bless ;)

Expecting the world to treat u fairly coz u r a good person is like expecting the lion not to attack u coz u r a vegetarian. Think about it.

SHOULD HAVE'S for a woman ...

A dear friend had sent it as an email to me. I found it so true n' truly inspiring ...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...

enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own, even if she never wants to or needs to...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .. something perfect to wear if the employer, or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .. a youth she's content to leave behind....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to retelling it in her old age....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..... a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .... one friend who always makes her laugh... and one who lets her cry...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .... a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal, that will make her guests feel honored...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... a feeling of control over her destiny...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... how to fall in love without losing herself..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... how to quit a job, break up with a lover, and confront a friend without; ruining the friendship...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

when to try harder... and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...

 EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

that she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..

 EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

that her childhood may not have been perfect...but it's over...

 EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...

 EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...

 EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…

whom she can trust, whom she can't, and why she shouldn't take it personally...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

where to go... be it to her best friend's kitchen table... or a charming inn in the woods... when her soul needs soothing...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

what she can and can't accomplish in a day... a month...and a year...

This is what I believe in ......

"
Go to where your heart bids you go. Do only what fires you up. Find what you really care about and live a life that shows it. Live with the tingling !

Know that your life is meaningful, and that there is a special reason for you to be here. Find that meaning, and let it transform your life.

Find your gift. What is your gift? Give it to the world. Express it. Sing it! Sing it loud and clear. Go only where you can exercise your gift.

Choose who you want to be. Where are you going to draw the line? Draw it! And don’t cross it.

Simple and yet incredibly tough.

Find a friend, find many, who will support your crazy explorations, who are there to tell you that you are not insane, who are there to tell you how great you are even as you go against the ideas and expectations of the entire world.

And when the going gets really tough, take time for silence and connection to the vaster space inside and around you. Go for a walk in nature, meditate, go for a run, take a hot tub bath. Whatever it is that you do to wind down. Don’t turn on the TV to zone out instead of zoning in.

Come into the moment. Take time to arrive wherever it is you are. At the breakfast table, marvel over the beauty of the food before you, at workplace, what have you gathered here today to do, in groups of friends, at the communion you share.

Live now, with consciousness.

Embrace yourself as the miracle you are. Allow yourself to shine (shine on you crazy diamond!), to laugh and to love. Embrace yourself as the miracle you are.

Today. Not tomorrow. Today. Tomorrow does not exist. It slips into today forever evading us."
